With the 4th of July only days away, we ask you to be mindful of your pets around fireworks. Not only can the loud noises scare them, they may also try to run away. July 5th is one of the busiest days of the year for shelters. If you must bring them with you, please make sure they are on a secure leash and you have a firm grip on them. Even if you don’t go to the fireworks, keeping your pets inside or on a leash is the best way to ensure your pet’s safety. Even the noise from your neighbor’s fireworks can cause animals to run away. We want this to be an enjoyable holiday for both humans and pets!
