Dr. Jonathan Burke always knew he wanted to be a veterinarian, but over time, he’s grown to especially value the client connection side of the profession. For him, there’s nothing more rewarding than diagnosing a challenging case, starting treatment, and seeing a pet’s health improve—especially knowing he’s made a real difference for an animal that can’t speak for itself.

Dr. Burke has a particular interest in surgery and enjoys honing his skills in the operating room whenever he can. He also looks forward to one day participating in trap-neuter-return (TNR) programs and low-cost spay/neuter clinics to give back to the community.

Outside of work, you’ll often find Dr. Burke staying active—whether it’s running, hiking, working out, or fishing. He’s also an avid cook and enjoys gaming in his downtime.

Dr. Burke is especially excited to be back at Fanwood, where he once worked as a veterinary assistant during undergrad. Now, returning in a new capacity as a doctor, he’s thrilled to reconnect with the team and contribute in a bigger way to the pets and clients he cares so deeply about.
